What you'll do
- Design motor housings, end-shields, shaft interfaces, and mounting structures for custom drive systems
- Develop assembly sequences and production drawings ready for manufacturing handoff
- Apply GD&T to ensure tolerances are manufacturable and assembly-friendly
- Collaborate with electromagnetic and thermal teams to validate mechanical fit, rigidity, and heat dissipation
- Support prototype builds and troubleshoot mechanical issues during validation
What we're looking for
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, or similar) and GD&T
- Experience designing for sheet metal, casting, or precision machining
- Understanding of thermal and structural considerations in rotating machinery
- Comfortable moving between concept sketches and production-ready drawings
