Motor Design Engineer
Lead electromagnetic and thermal design of AC, BLDC, and PMSM motors for domestic appliance and custom industrial applications. FEA experience required.

What you'll do
- Own electromagnetic and thermal design of AC, BLDC, and PMSM motors from specification through validation
- Run electromagnetic and thermal FEA to optimise efficiency, torque ripple, and heat rise against target duty cycles
- Define winding configuration, lamination geometry, and magnet selection for each application
- Work with mechanical and manufacturing teams to translate designs into production-ready builds
- Validate simulated performance against dynamometer and bench test data
What we're looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Hands-on experience with electromagnetic FEA tools (Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD, JMAG, or similar)
- Solid understanding of motor topologies — AC induction, BLDC, PMSM
- Comfortable working from first-principles calculations through to hardware validation
- Prior experience designing motors for appliance or industrial applications is a plus
